JBAD Projects Featured In Two New Publications

Xtra Corporate Interiors

The corporate world has changed and so has the space in which
we work. Interiors today reflect the shifting trends of society and
our changing demands and expectations. Corporate interiors have
become an extension of a company’s identity and reflect the way
a company sees itself and its aspirations.

To document this trend, Hong Kong-based Pace Publishing Com-
pany has recently published Xtra Corporate Interiors as part of its
new “Xtra” series on architecture and interior design. The book
showcases designs from various countries that illustrate the theme
of creating a corporate identity through office design.

Four JBAD projects are included in the book with feature articles
on the The Mound Street Office Project and the American Systems
Management Project and photos of Starling Loving Hall and the
Ruggery Building. The cover photo shows Jonathan in the Mound
Street office (a blur as usual) and the color scheme of the book is
based on the interior finishes of the project.

The book hit the stores in late June 2008, and is available for
purchase online.

Architectural Record

Each month Architectural Record produces an in-depth analysis
of a particular building type, which explores some of the finest
examples of architecture in the country, by their specific uses.
The Brunson Building was selected for June’s multifamily housing
Building Type Study and is featured in the magazine’s online
project gallery.

Columbus Monthly

“A Modern World”

JBAD’s innovative design for a rear-wing addition to the Stolarczyk
residence in Upper Arlington was featured in the August 2008 issue
of Columbus Monthly Magazine.

“The couple says that upon meeting Barnes, an architect focused
on modern renovations, they knew he was right for the job. Barnes
agrees: ‘We were talking the same language.’...The couple has come
to love each of the areas in their unique hilltop retreat, which now
includes more than 5,000 square feet of living space…” The collabor-
ation was fantastic,” concludes Michael [Stolarczyk].”
